Material used in firefighting uniforms and gloves
High flame resistance is achieved by using an outer layer of polyester blended with "Kevlar". While its greatest feature is its high strength and high modulus of elasticity, it also has a wide range of adaptability, including flame resistance and heat resistance, and is used in firefighting uniforms and gloves.

* Although the material is slightly water-repellent, it will soak up water when wet, so please wipe it off immediately.

Care for the amount of down
Aurora Down uses 150 g, but this special order model uses 140 g. The fire fabric is stiffer than Aurora Tex, so there is a difference in down puffiness. 140 g provides moderate puffiness and the same heat retention. The 140g weight provides a moderate fullness and similar warmth retention. By fine-tuning the amount of down, NANGA has achieved a good balance of appearance and warmth retention.


Sizing that affects warmth retention
The Aurora Down Jacket has been renewed in a slightly larger size, but the special order model is a "Japanese size". The more fitted the size is, the greater the heat retention, so choosing the right size for your body is important.

The Japanese size, which is not too large, is adopted to maximize warmth retention. For this reason, we offer seven sizes to meet the needs of our customers.
