Blue refabric / 17oz Selvedge Monster Denim Jacket Type 1
Blue refabric introduces a heavyweight denim jacket based on the classic Type 1 design.
Made from substantial 17oz selvedge denim, the jacket features signature Type 1 details such as front pleats, a single chest pocket, and a cinch back. The back also features T-back construction across all sizes, a detail traditionally found mainly on larger vintage jackets.
Starting with deep indigo denim, the fabric gradually develops unique fades and wear marks with continued use. A distinctive piece for denim enthusiasts looking for something beyond the standard denim jacket.

Blue refabric
Built on a commitment to high-quality Japanese fabrics and meticulous craftsmanship, Blue refabric was produced for many years as a ROCOCO-exclusive collection with Japan Blue Jeans before relaunching under its own name in 2026.
Production takes place primarily at partner factories of Japan Blue Co., Ltd. The brand name combines “Blue,” representing Japanese denim, with “Refabric,” a coined word blending “Republic” and “Fabric.” Inspired by the idea of a “Blue Republic,” the brand celebrates Japan’s rich textile heritage while creating garments that bring out the individuality of the wearer.
Using premium denim from Okayama Prefecture and other high-quality Japanese fabrics, each piece is carefully crafted at trusted factories across Japan. The designs are minimalist yet distinctive, allowing the natural character and texture of the materials to take center stage.
From Japan, a country with a rich textile heritage, to the world. Blue refabric presents a new standard rooted in a deep appreciation for Japanese textiles.

New 17oz Deadstock Denim
This jacket is crafted from substantial 17oz deadstock denim. With its rugged character and heavyweight construction, the fabric gradually softens and conforms to your body with continued wear, developing unique fades and wear marks over time.
Starting with a deep indigo hue, the denim gradually develops a character all its own with wear. The pleasure of breaking it in and watching it evolve over time is part of what makes this jacket so special.
Classic Type 1 Details
The design is based on the iconic vintage Type 1 denim jacket.
Featuring a single flap pocket on the left chest and two pleats at the front, the clean, simple design lets the bold character of the 17oz denim take center stage.
Original donut buttons add an authentic vintage touch, completing the jacket's classic look.
The fabric edges feature selvedge, a hallmark of denim woven on traditional shuttle looms. A detail cherished by vintage denim enthusiasts, it adds an authentic touch to the jacket.
When the jacket is worn open, the selvedge peeks out subtly, adding another layer of character to the design.
The interior features a “COLLECT DENIM HEADS / Japan Blue Co., Ltd.” label, indicating that the jacket was made at one of Japan Blue Co., Ltd.’s partner factories.

T-Back Construction Available in All Sizes
The back features a T-back construction with a central seam joining two panels of fabric.
In vintage denim jackets, this detail was mainly found on larger sizes due to limitations in fabric width, but this model intentionally incorporates it across all sizes.
The distinctive back view can be enjoyed regardless of size. While the front maintains the simple appeal of the Type 1 design, the central seam on the back creates a strong visual presence.

A cinch back, one of the defining details of the Type 1 design, is placed at the waist.
While it provides adjustable fit, it also adds an authentic vintage accent to the back silhouette.
Maintaining the vintage-inspired character, the silhouette offers a comfortable amount of room through the body.
The jacket pairs effortlessly with slim pants for a classic Americana look, while also working well with military pants and wide-leg trousers. Retaining the appeal of the classic Type 1 design, it is easy to incorporate into modern outfits.
