A higher grade of "adult knitwear"
Champion's A heavyweight sweatshirt inspired by Champion's heavyweight sweatshirts, this knitted piece is a heavy, solid item that we wanted to bring you a higher grade of "knitwear for adults".

We use a rare knitting machine in China and knit in diagonal stitch to achieve a high density finish.

By tightening the stitch, the knit is smoother and firmer to the touch, and less likely to lose its shape or stretch. The result is a knitted garment that is as easy to wear as a sweatshirt, while retaining the elegance of a knit.
Rare knitting machines are the reason for the degree of filling
The knitting machine used here is an early automatic machine, of which there are only a few in China today. This machine is one of the very few in China today, and it allows us to knit with a much tighter stitch count than is possible on today's machines.

Today's automatic knitting machines can be used for any type of knitting. This means that there is a limit to the number of knots that can be filled in, as there has to be play between the knitting stitches.
In contrast, the early automatic machines used in this project did not allow for the insertion of bobbins. This means that there is no play, and we are able to produce an item with a full degree.
The ideal knit, born from trial and error
We use the diagonal stitch, which runs diagonally across the knit. The knitwear is made with a diagonal stitch to create a denser knitted fabric. The yarn is made from 100% Australian EXTRAFINE MERINO WOOL and the yarn is of the most suitable thickness (count) for the diagonal stitch. The yarn is specially finished.

We have checked and adjusted the yarn count to match the knitting machine, and then repeated the test knitting over and over again to achieve the "ideal knit".
