Driven by the desire to create simple, purpose-built gear and apparel, TRAIL BUM is an outdoor brand developed under the direction of Highland Design, led by Tomoyoshi Tsuchiya, a pioneer of ultralight hiking.







Lightweight and Durable Fabric
Made with 100-denier ripstop nylon fabric. Even in the unlikely event that the fabric tears, it helps prevent the damage from spreading further. A Teflon water-repellent finish also provides peace of mind during sudden rain.





The main compartment features a roll-top closure. By extending the top section according to the amount of luggage, the storage capacity can be adjusted as needed. A single center compression strap also provides stability even when the load increases.



The large front mesh pocket is useful for storing jackets or gear, and can be used freely depending on the scene.



The shoulder straps are fitted with thin padding. The thickness is carefully balanced by considering the capacity and the weight the backpack is designed to carry, resulting in just the right amount of cushioning without excess.

The wide shoulder straps are designed to distribute the load, supporting weight across a broader surface while keeping thickness to a minimum for a gentle fit against the body.



The body structure, designed with as few seams as possible, not only creates a minimal look but also contributes to lightness and stability.



When your load increases, the removable chest strap comes in handy.



It can be adjusted in height, greatly improving stability when carried.





A Slim, Stable Backpack Form That Feels Light and Balanced
While the shape is simple and reminiscent of a knapsack, this model’s appeal lies in the stability created by its slim gusset. Even with a light load, the contents are less likely to shift inside, allowing the pack to sit neatly against the back.



The back pad is removable. You can leave it out when you want to reduce weight as much as possible, or replace it with a sleeping pad during overnight tent trips, allowing flexible adjustment to suit your style of use.
