JOSEPH CHEANEY
JOSEPH CHEANEY / Howard R Coin Loafer Grained Calf
JOSEPH CHEANEY presents the "HOWARD R" coin loafer from the Country collection.
The grain calf leather with large grains used for the upper, the voluminous sole, and the thick saddle placed on the instep create a British country atmosphere.
The casual style is finished with a pair that will fit in well with today's office style, and will be active in a wide range of situations.
JOSEPH CHEANEY
Founded in 1886 in Northampton, England, known as the holy land of British shoes. Skilled craftsmen spend 8 weeks on a single pair, completing over 160 processes. They adhere to "PURELY MADE IN ENGLAND" by carrying out all processes in their own factory.
Enhanced Charm with Aging
The upper is made of grain calfskin leather characterized by large grain patterns. It is resistant to scratches, stains, and water, and over the years, it develops a unique aging patina.
Moreover, the black color complements Japan's predominantly gray landscapes, such as asphalt roads and concrete buildings, giving it a metropolitan impression.
Well-Balanced Exclusive LAST
The last used is the "5203LAST," a loafer-specific last positioned as a brand staple. It features a rounded toe with a smart expression and a balanced silhouette, exuding a classic British atmosphere.
Since the heel cup is slightly smaller, this model minimizes the floating sensation typical of loafers when walking.
Comfort that Fits Your Feet with Wear
It adopts the Goodyear welt construction, representative of British shoes.
Due to the construction method, it may feel stiff at first, but over time, the insole conforms to the shape of the foot, increasing the fit and creating "your own shoes."
Additionally, since it is possible to repeatedly replace the shoe sole, it is possible to continue using them for a long time while repairing them, which is also a charm of this construction method.
A Country-Specific Sense of Heaviness
The heel is a full welt specification with welt stitching that goes all around the heel. The moderate volume across the entire sole, combined with the thick saddle on the vamp, enhances the British country mood.
The moccasin stitching and piping on the edge of the vamp (the closest part to the ankle) add subtle accents.
Slip-Resistant for Rainy Days
The outsole uses the brand's original studded rubber sole with the logo. It boasts excellent durability and abrasion resistance, providing a comfortable fit even on rainy days.
*Depending on the manufacturing period and material conditions, a Dainite studded sole from Harboro Rubber Co. may be used.
*Please be assured that there is no performance difference in the sole.
*Please note that you cannot choose the sole design.
From Casual to Office
In addition to the light impression typical of loafers, the balanced appearance with a moderate sense of weight fits well with casual styles and modern office styles, making them versatile for a wide range of situations.
