Founded in 1927, TOWNCRAFT is a JC PENNEY store brand alongside BIC MAC and PAY-DAY. Drawing inspiration from 1950s–70s vintage clothing, it delivers modern, comfortable, and wearable pieces.







Crafted from crisp cotton broadcloth, the fabric balances spring-summer lightness with a refined firmness. The native and checker patterns—original designs inspired by vintage corduroy shirts—are precisely aligned during cutting to achieve a perfectly symmetrical finish, reflecting meticulous craftsmanship.



Made from 100% cotton, it offers natural softness and comfort for extended wear.





The shirt features a clean open-collar design that looks equally sharp whether buttoned or worn open. The smaller collar, typical of 1950s–60s vintage shirts, adds a subtle sense of ease—resulting in a refined yet effortlessly stylish look.





Patterns are carefully matched across the placket, pockets, and sleeves to ensure seamless continuity. This meticulous attention to detail results in a cohesive and beautifully refined finish.

In addition, a polyester satin lining is applied to the back yoke, faithfully recreating a classic detail from 1950s shirts.




Back yoke features a tuck, and sleeves include gathers to add sophistication.



All seams at the armholes, underarms, and sides are finished with flat-felled stitching, enclosing the seam allowances so they don’t come into direct contact with the skin for enhanced comfort.
