BARNS OUTFITTERS
A brand known for creating vintage-inspired pieces that evoke the dry, nostalgic air of 1950s–70s America. Their collection includes garments crafted on old-style loopwheel knitting machines and other thoughtfully made products rooted in tradition. 
Durable yet supple fabric
The fabric is a 100% cotton heavyweight sweatshirt fabric, knitted on a low-gauge machine. It offers both firmness and flexibility—soft enough for comfort, yet structured enough to hold its shape. The more you wear it, the more it molds to your body, becoming a long-lasting favorite.
The interior is brushed by hand, giving it a warm, lofty texture that keeps you comfortable even through the coldest months. 
Details inspired by classic American sweatshirts
The design is modeled after vintage sweatshirts, faithfully reproducing key details from the era. The V-shaped inserts at the front and back neckline—known as “double-V” gussets—were originally functional elements for sweat absorption and shrinkage control. 
Flat-seam stitching ensures a smooth interior with no raised seams, offering a comfortable, irritation-free wearing experience. 
The body features a tubular knit construction with no side seams, creating a gentle feel against the skin without the scratchiness of exposed stitching.

The ribbing varies subtly by color: natural and gray feature tonal ribbing, while the black uses a slightly different tone for a distinct look. 
A versatile silhouette
The silhouette offers a clean, balanced shape with just the right amount of ease. It pairs effortlessly with casual outfits as well as more refined trousers.
From the Fall/Winter 2024 season, long-awaited larger sizes have been added—made possible by switching to a seamed construction for XL to XXXL. If you prefer a more relaxed, roomy fit, sizing up is also recommended.
