Toughness that speaks of wartime quality
The fabric is made from 100% cotton, inspired by military trousers of the era.
Designed for use under wartime conditions, it features a firm, durable texture with an emphasis on strength and longevity.
Finished unwashed, the fabric has noticeable body and stiffness when new, and may feel slightly rigid at first wear. With repeated use and washing, however, it gradually softens and develops a richer character over time.
Meticulously reproduced “1942-pattern details”
The front features metal buttons engraved with “U.S. ARMY.” The pocket openings are finished with double-welt construction, a technically demanding method that achieves both a clean appearance and excellent durability.
The most distinctive feature is the double-needle lap seam used at the side seams, inseams, and seat. At a time when split-seam construction was the norm, this method required advanced skill and specialized equipment, making it a rare and notable detail.
It reflects a period in which quality was prioritized over mass-production efficiency, preserved here in authentic form.
