What is 925 Silver Silver 925 is a type of silver. The meaning of the number 925 is the silver content (purity) and it means that the alloy contains 92.5% silver. STERLING means "valuable" or "genuine", and the fact that sterling silver is now 925 does not detract from its beauty. STERLING means 'value' and 'authenticity'.
Why not use 100% silver
