JAPAN BLUE's super thick 16oz "Monster Denim" is tailored in a special order silhouette only for ROCOCO. The fabric we had been using was discontinued, but a rare deadstock of "Côte d'Ivoire Cotton" denim was found in JAPAN BLUE’s warehouse, and this special edition was born. It's truly a one-time-only model.
Although it is a heavyweight fabric, it is soft and comfortable to the skin due to its sweet weave, making it comfortable to wear from the start. The thicker count yarn used in the weave allows for more powerful color fading and deeper aging than normal denim.
The tapered line, which has room in the hips and gutters and falls smoothly from below the knees to the hem, smartly accentuates the presence of the monster denim.

Launched in 2011, the brand was created to spread the quality of MADE IN JAPAN denim overseas. The brand combines silhouettes recognized in Europe and America with domestic craftsmanship, offering a fresh perspective on jeans.

Made with 16.5oz heavy denim woven from Cote d'Ivoire cotton.
Cote d'Ivoire cotton exhibits unique charm that cannot be found in other cottons, with variations in thread creating subtle shades that combine ruggedness with elegance. Unlike industrially processed cotton, it retains the rich expressions of the land, offering a natural feel.
As you wear it, enjoy the deep color fades and the natural texture that emerges with every wear.
Attention to Detail
The front features an easy-to-wear zipper, complemented by Japan Blue’s original zip and donut buttons, showcasing a classic five-pocket design.
The back is adorned with an original leather patch, highlighting the attention to detail.

Additionally, the "red ear" selvage, an essential feature when discussing vintage jeans, is a key highlight. The red selvage is used to prevent fraying at the edges when denim is woven with old-style machines, and it is a popular detail among denim enthusiasts, symbolizing the timelessness of classic jeans.
