Founded in 1941 in Maibara, Shiga Prefecture, NANGA is a down product manufacturer committed to domestic production. Using safe, high-quality down and proprietary sewing techniques, it is widely regarded as one of Japan’s leading brands for winter down outerwear.









HINOC Flame-Resistant Fabric with an Urban Finish
The outer shell is made from NANGA’s proprietary flame-resistant “HINOC” fabric. By combining polyester with high-strength fibers, the fabric offers flame resistance and durability while maintaining a calm, understated appearance that tones down the sporty look typically associated with outdoor wear.

Its matte, refined texture pairs naturally with slacks and leather shoes, making it an easy fit for business attire. Worn with denim or sweatshirts, it transitions just as effortlessly into relaxed casual looks.

Premium Down for Lightweight Warmth
The insulation is made from 90% down and 10% feather. The down is NANGA-selected “Select Premium Down,” featuring Spanish white duck down with an impressive 760 fill power, while the feathers are sourced from Kawada Feather, one of Japan’s leading feather specialists.

The premium fill traps plenty of air to provide reliable warmth while maintaining an impressively lightweight feel for a down coat. By keeping the overall volume to a minimum, the coat retains the clean, composed appearance of a classic Balmacaan coat.

Direct-Fill Construction
A direct-fill construction places the down directly between the outer fabric and lining. By eliminating unnecessary layers of fabric, this construction reduces weight while creating a clean, streamlined silhouette.

Due to the nature of this construction, down or feathers may occasionally appear on the surface of the fabric or work their way through the seams. This is a characteristic of the product.





Down is also filled into the collar to keep the neck comfortably warm. By keeping the volume restrained, it avoids the puffiness often associated with down while preserving the clean, refined collar line of a classic Balmacaan coat.



The front features a double zipper concealed beneath a snap-button storm flap. By keeping the zipper out of sight, the coat achieves a clean, minimal look that blends naturally into business settings.



Zippered inner pockets on both sides of the chest offer convenient storage for a smartphone and other essentials.



Large-capacity pockets are also built into the lower interior on both sides, offering more storage than the streamlined exterior suggests.

For this update, the pocket interiors are lined with soft tricot fabric. The smooth, gentle texture feels comfortable against the hands, making the pockets even more pleasant to use in winter.









The roomy proportions of the inline model have been refined into a ROCOCO-exclusive fit that avoids excessive volume. Despite being a down coat, it keeps bulk to a minimum and layers neatly over suits and jackets.
