Founded in 1953, a long-established sandal maker from the Basque region in southwestern France. While having rich traditions, they continue to explore new territories by creating more contemporary espadrilles and timeless wardrobes.

Gurkha sandal has military background
The origin of the Gurkha sandal dates back to the 19th century when British mercenaries organized in Nepal were called Gurkha soldiers. They wore shoes derived from the shoes worn by these soldiers.

Since they were mountain people, they needed to securely hold their feet while freely traversing rugged mountain paths.



As a result, Gurkha sandals with a design that covered not only the instep but also the toes and heels were born.

The upper part is adjustable with belt straps, making it easier to fit even for those with high insteps.



The footbed with built-in cushioning reduces fatigue during walking. Leather soles are used for the outsole, and rubber material is used for the heels.
