What is the PLC EXCURSION Series?
The PLC (PACKABLE / LIGHT / COMPACT) Series is a high-performance clothing line unique to NANGA that combines packability, lightness, and compactness. It offers a lightweight and comfortable wearing experience that transcends the boundaries between travel and everyday life.
Based on the "Shadow Rip" fabric, each piece incorporates a variety of functions such as UV protection, water repellency, stretch, and quick-drying moisture absorption. The fabric features Teijin’s “Shadow Rip,” a ripstop weave that balances lightness, quick-drying comfort, and exceptional durability.
Its smooth texture and uniform yarn thickness create a flatter appearance and soft feel, making it easy to pack without bulk.
The even yarn thickness gives it a flatter, more refined look compared to typical ripstop fabrics. The subtle grid pattern keeps the outdoorsy feel understated, allowing it to blend seamlessly into everyday wear.
With a UPF rating of 30, it also blocks 95% of UV rays—an essential for spring and summer outings.
