TOWNCRAFT is one of JC PENNEY’s iconic store brands, alongside BIG MAC and PAY-DAY, and has been producing timeless essentials since 1927. Inspired by vintage pieces from the ’50s to ’70s, the brand reinterprets them with modern comfort and wearability.
Supple genuine leather from the very first wear
The jacket is crafted from soft, lightweight sheepskin. Its natural suppleness reduces the feeling of weight when worn. Gentle waves on the leather surface create a refined, subtle sheen—offering an understated elegance suited for mature style.

Authentic details inspired by the 1960s
The ribbed collar has a moderate height, while the brand label faithfully reproduces the original design from the era.
The jacket features updated cup-in shoulder panels—typical of derby jackets—creating a cleaner, more streamlined silhouette.
The front zipper is made by IDEAL, an American manufacturer founded in 1936 with a long history of supplying the U.S. military. The leather pull tab and metal buttons at the top and hem add a touch of character.
Both sides feature hand pockets. Inside the left front panel, a Velcro-secured pocket provides space large enough for your entire hand.
The ribbed cuffs transition from wider to finer ribs toward the wrist, offering a natural, comfortable fit.
The back hem is finished with ribbing. While the front maintains a clean look, the ribbed back creates a balanced silhouette without unnecessary bulk.
