Founded in Portland, Oregon, KEEN began with a simple question from founder Rory Fuerst: “Can a sandal protect your toes?” That idea led to the creation of the iconic NEWPORT and the brand’s signature toe protection concept—earning recognition as a “sandal beyond shoes.”

Responsibly Crafted Premium Leather
The upper is made from premium suede sourced from an LWG (Leather Working Group)–certified tannery.

By reducing water, energy, and chemical usage—and minimizing wastewater pollution—this environmentally conscious manufacturing process results in suede with a refined texture that pairs naturally with elevated casual styling.





A molded foam footbed is anatomically shaped to follow the contours of your foot. Resistant to compression under weight, it maintains excellent cushioning even during long walks.



The lining incorporates breathable mesh for enhanced airflow. In addition, KEEN’s Eco Anti-Odor treatment helps control odor, keeping the interior fresh and comfortable.



The low-profile outsole design enhances ground contact, while a smooth heel-to-toe transition promotes a natural posture and easy stride.



Inspired by climbing shoes, the outsole wraps up around the sides for added protection and durability. The high-abrasion rubber delivers reliable grip on uneven terrain, flexing with your foot while absorbing impact.



Longer laces allow for a more customized fit. The roomy toe box reduces pressure on the toes and allows natural toe splay while walking.



Two sets of laces are included, giving you the freedom to personalize the look.
