The predecessor of BARNSTORMER was founded in 1977. At the height of the Ivy League style era, the brand broke new ground by creating American traditional clothing in Japan, using fabrics with the same character and factories capable of reproducing American sewing techniques. BARNSTORMER’s theme is to recreate not only the clothing but the lifestyle of America from that era—when the ordinary looked good and the basics felt effortlessly stylish.

Chinos, yet surprisingly soft and relaxed
The fabric is a 100% cotton dobby chino cloth developed by FOB FACTORY.

Chino cloth is often associated with a crisp, structured feel, but this fabric takes a different approach with its notably soft texture.

The soft, broken-in fabric creates a natural drape, allowing the wide silhouette to fall smoothly without feeling stiff or rigid. Combined with the subtle texture of the dobby weave, it offers a distinctive look and feel unlike conventional chinos.







The Quality of the Tailoring Shows at the Waist
The waist features double pleats that create a three-dimensional shape, along with side adjusters that allow you to fine-tune the fit without a belt.



The front features a practical zipper fly. An extended waistband tab is added to the outside, while a tongue-shaped internal tab sits on the inside.

While these may sound like technical details, both are designed to keep the waistband securely in place. By reinforcing the waist from both the outside and inside, they help prevent shifting and twisting around the front, allowing the trousers to sit neatly and comfortably.

The inner waistband uses a specially selected, firmer reinforcement than usual. Even in areas that remain unseen, careful construction helps the waist retain its shape through repeated wear.





There are five pockets in total: slash pockets at both sides, double-welt back pockets, and a watch pocket.



A gusset is added at the crotch, while high-stress areas such as the inseam and pocket bottoms are carefully reinforced.

The wide silhouette is defined by a deep rise and generous hem width.

Double pleats create room around the waist, while the side adjusters allow the fit to be neatly refined, resulting in a silhouette that feels relaxed without simply looking loose.

Style them traditionally with leather shoes or casually with sneakers. Their versatility allows for a wide range of looks depending on what you pair them with.
