Yonetomi NEW BASIC, a knitwear project that pursues basics for the "new everyday", introduces a mid-gauge knit for long seasons.
The 100% cotton fabric is characterized by its moderate thickness and dry feel that can be worn all year round. It is hand-washable and easier to handle than wool.
While being made of an elegant knit material, the straight box silhouette is reminiscent of vintage sweatshirts, giving the impression of adult roughness.

YONETOMI NEW BASIC
A knitwear project by Yonetomi Seni, pursuing essentials that resonate with today’s “new everyday.” With thoughtful details and subtle design twists only possible from a factory brand, it proposes clothing that naturally blends into daily life. 
Dry texture for early spring and autumn
Made using a custom Yonetomi yarn—multiple ultra-fine cotton threads twisted into a high-twist wave shape. The result is a fabric with a subtly uneven surface and a crisp, dry handfeel.
Knit densely in a mid-gauge for maximum firmness, it creates a tough fabric with presence and just the right thickness. 
A simple design that lets the fabric speak
Free from decorative techniques, the design is kept minimal. The rib shadows and neckline lines create a clean silhouette when worn.
Timeless and versatile, it pairs easily with what you already own and is made to be worn and cherished for years. 
A refined yet relaxed silhouette
Designed with a boxy fit reminiscent of vintage sweatshirts. The balance of refined fabric with a laid-back silhouette creates an effortless, elevated look.
