Slightly longer than the G9 and designed without ribbed cuffs or hem, the G4 is often called a driving coat—originally made to wear comfortably behind the wheel.
This edition reimagines the classic in an ultra-lightweight design weighing only 200 grams. Crafted from wind-resistant, durable ripstop nylon, it layers effortlessly without added bulk—perfect for spring and fall.

Founded in Manchester, England in 1937 by the Miller brothers, BARACUTA began with innovative rainwear known for its water-repellent and windproof properties. Since the G9’s debut as a golf jacket, it has become the archetype of today’s blouson jackets—a timeless outerwear icon loved around the world.
Ultra-Lightweight Yet Durable
Made from lightweight ripstop nylon, this fabric is built to resist further tearing if damaged, offering reassurance without adding weight. It packs down easily for portability, and the water-repellent finish protects against light rain.
The front body and upper back yoke are lined with the same fabric, while the rest is constructed in a single layer for a lightweight, streamlined feel.
Heritage Details, Unchanged
The iconic “dog ear” collar—named for its resemblance to a dog’s folded ears—is a signature G9 feature. Raise the collar for a polished look, and button it up to boost wind protection.
Originally designed as golf wear, the raglan sleeves allow natural ease of movement through the shoulders. The generous armholes make it easy to layer over relaxed, wide T-shirts.
The double front zipper allows versatile styling, depending on how far you unzip it.
Side pockets feature buttoned flaps to help keep belongings secure. Inside the left chest is a buttoned patch pocket for added practicality.
The cuffs feature gussets, allowing you to button them for a classic look or leave them open for a more relaxed style—perfect for adapting to your mood.
