An American outdoor brand founded in 1912 by Leon Leonwood Bean (L.L.Bean). Looks like cotton, but lighter. “Tech Duck” fabric
This piece uses an original material called “Tech Duck,” made from specially engineered irregular cross-section polyester yarn (S-fiber). Because the yarn itself has an uneven shape, it achieves a matte, cotton-like appearance despite being polyester.
After applying a special print to the fabric, a garment wash is used to soften the surface, creating a faded look reminiscent of well-worn cotton duck fabric. Lightweight with added stretch, it is significantly easier to handle than traditional duck fabric.
Classic character, updated for everyday ease
The front and cuffs feature alloy tack buttons engraved with the L.L.Bean logo, evoking workwear from the 1980s–90s.
A zippered pocket and woven brand tag on the left chest balance practicality with unmistakable brand identity.
A snap-button chin strap at the collar adds versatility, offering a refined look even when worn with the collar up.
The familiar pocket layout features open pockets on both sides, with an additional layer of pockets placed beneath them.
Corduroy trim at the collar and cuffs introduces a subtle material contrast that enhances the overall look.
