A Japanese outdoor apparel brand founded in the Fall/Winter 2006 collection. Its concept is “All environments are outdoor fields for clothing.” The brand combines design, functionality, and technical innovation into a single form, maintaining a commitment to independent, uncompromising product creation free from market trends.
RIG FOOTWEAR
A Japan-born recovery sandal brand launched in 2019 after approximately four years of development, based on research into differences in foot structure between Western and Japanese wearers. The sandals are designed for optimal comfort for Japanese users. In addition to post-workout or post-standing relaxation, they are also suitable for everyday wear, helping to reduce strain on the feet and lower back compared to rigid sandals, making them a supportive option for those with back pain or herniated discs.
Flexible, breathable functional upper
The upper is made of perforated neoprene with stretchability, quick-drying performance, and excellent breathability.
It offers a soft touch against the skin while providing secure hold, ensuring comfort even during extended wear.
Two-strap system for stability and comfort
The base model, “kuruka 2.0,” features a dual-strap structure that provides a secure fit for the foot.
A heel strap allows for easy on and off while maintaining a secure fit. Even during active movement, it reduces friction and helps prevent blisters for lasting comfort.
A three-layer structure consisting of the footbed, midsole, and outsole reduces impact on the feet and lower body by approximately 40%, delivering long-lasting comfort. The bucket-seat-shaped midsole supports stable walking and delivers a natural energy return for smooth forward motion.
