RIG FOOTWEAR
Founded in 2019 in Japan as a recovery sandal brand after studying the foot characteristics of both Western and Japanese wearers, with around four years of development. The brand creates sandals designed to deliver optimal comfort for Japanese feet. Its products are suitable not only for relaxing after long hours of standing or exercise, but also for everyday wear, as they help reduce strain on the legs and lower back compared with traditional hard sandals, making them a comfortable option for those with lower back issues.
A Highly Versatile Design That Lets You Customize the Fit and Feel
The upper features a minimal construction made only with rope and Velcro. By keeping materials to a minimum, it reduces pressure on the foot and delivers a barefoot-like feel.
The sole features a newly designed lightweight construction for excellent portability. They are easy to stack, helping reduce bulk in travel luggage or outdoor gear.
The simple fastening system using rope and Velcro gives the sandals a light appearance while making them easy to put on, take off, and adjust. A stripped-down design with only what is necessary.
Although the sole has presence, the overall design remains minimal. A highly versatile sandal that offers flexible styling options.
