The origins of BARNSTORMER date back to 1977. At a time when Ivy style was at its peak, the brand achieved something groundbreaking by producing American traditional clothing in Japan, using factories capable of matching American sewing techniques and fabrics with the same character. BARNSTORMER’s philosophy is to recreate the lifestyle of that era — when everyday basics were stylish, and ordinary clothing had a sense of cool sophistication.

The fabric uses the same West Point Twill as the classic "MacArthur 2." This durable fabric is woven with doubled yarns and was originally used for uniforms worn by U.S. military officers.

It also features "cold mercerization," a rare finishing technique in which resin is frozen at -16°C as it penetrates the fabric.

This process creates a smooth, refined surface and a distinctive crisp texture. Unlike ordinary chino fabrics, it gives the fabric a more polished and sophisticated appearance.

For this exclusive model, we have intentionally washed the fabric. While retaining its original firmness, the wash softens the stiffness characteristic of unwashed fabric, giving it a more natural look and feel that is easy to incorporate into your wardrobe from the very first wear. The result is an effortless finish with a relaxed character unique to this exclusive model.






The front features a clean, no-pleat design. Easy to pair with a variety of tops, these trousers work effortlessly as part of a set-up or worn on their own.



A small loop is placed at the center of the waistband to hold the belt buckle pin in position. This detail comes from the "MacArthur 2" design and helps keep the buckle centered and neatly aligned.



The front features a practical zipper fly, with an extended waistband tab on the outside and an inner waistband extension on the inside.

While these details may be somewhat technical, both are designed to keep the waist securely in place. By providing support from both the outside and inside, they help prevent shifting and bunching around the front, creating a clean, comfortable fit.



A gusset is incorporated at the crotch, while high-stress areas such as the inseam and pocket openings are reinforced for added durability.





The pockets include two side slash pockets, two double-welt back pockets, and a watch pocket, for a total of five pockets.

The no-pleat design creates a clean and flat appearance around the waist.

The base is the "Bataan Boys" model, which is more casual than the MacArthur 2, creating a balance that retains refinement while remaining easy to wear every day.
