Fundada en 1993, BUZZ RICKSON'S es una marca dedicada a preservar la herencia y el orgullo de las chaquetas de vuelo antiguas. Cada reproducción sigue las especificaciones militares originales de EE. UU., desde el hilado y tejido hasta los materiales, el hardware y la silueta, elaboradas con una atención inflexible al detalle y una auténtica artesanía militar. 
La tela de nailon de alto rendimiento evolucionó a lo largo de la historia
La capa exterior está hecha de nailon 66, conocido por su excepcional resistencia al calor, resistencia y brillo sutil. El forro es de sarga de poliéster firme en un refinado tono verde salvia que añade un acabado maduro y discreto. 
Las costuras de color marrón oscuro corren a lo largo de cada costura, capturando los métodos de producción originales de la época, donde se producían naturalmente ligeros fruncidos y arrugas durante la fabricación rápida, fielmente recreados aquí.

La característica distintiva del MA-1 es su diseño sin cuello reemplazado por un escote de punto acanalado, lo que permite a los pilotos usar cascos cómodamente y al mismo tiempo garantiza un ajuste cómodo y resistente al viento. Los puños acanalados están confeccionados con una estructura de punto escalonado que se ajusta naturalmente a la muñeca. 
En la manga izquierda, la chaqueta presenta un estampado clásico de la Fuerza Aérea de EE. UU. y un bolsillo utilitario con cremallera diseñado para cigarrillos y bolígrafos, completo con cuatro ranuras interiores para bolígrafos, un detalle icónico de las chaquetas de vuelo originales. 
La etiqueta interna muestra con orgullo "MIL-J-8279", la designación militar oficial del MA-1, en honor a su linaje auténtico de la serie B-15. 
En la parte delantera hay dos bolsillos diagonales para las manos con solapas con botones a presión. Su diseño en ángulo facilita el acceso y evita que el contenido se salga. Los interiores están forrados con una tela cepillada para brindar calidez y comodidad. 
El cierre frontal presenta la icónica cremallera CROWN, un modelo de metal fundido fielmente reproducido que alguna vez se usó a mediados del siglo XX y ahora es producido exclusivamente por BUZZ RICKSON'S. 
La parte superior de la solapa contra tormentas es muy cuadrada, reflejando los primeros modelos MA-1. Junto con la cremallera CROWN, el cordón y el forro tonal, estos elementos cuidadosamente reconstruidos hacen de esta pieza una pieza imprescindible para cualquier entusiasta militar que busque autenticidad.
