REMI RELIEF
REMI RELIEF / 12oz Denim WWII Model One-washed Denim Jacket
This denim jacket follows the Levi's 1st type born in the 1940s during the war.
This is a new REMI RELIEF original WWII model, thoroughly studied the details of that time, called the "WWII model," and particular about the size, fabric, and sewing.
At the time, 14 oz. denim was the mainstream, but this model is finished in 12 oz. selvedge denim for a soft and comfortable fit right from the start.
Please experience the genuine craftsmanship that has transcended time.

REMI RELIEF
REMI RELIEF focuses on "quality" over "quantity," pursuing the ultimate American basics by perfecting every aspect of production, from threads and twisting to knitting and finishing, eliminating waste. The brand operates its own factory in Kojima, Okayama, handling everything from material dyeing to processing.
Soft 12oz Selvedge Denim
While the war model is typically made from thicker 14oz denim, REMI RELIEF uses a softer 12oz denim that feels comfortable from the moment you wear it.
The selvage denim’s fabric edge is proof of its production on old shuttle looms. Unlike modern, high-efficiency denim production, these looms weave the fabric slowly, capturing air in the process to create a softer texture.
Additionally, it has been one washed, which makes it resistant to shrinking.
Authentic Vintage Details from Levi's 1st Style
The front placket features darts on both sides to ensure a full range of motion for workers.
During the 1940s, when military production took precedence, materials were simplified, with only one flap-less pocket and four donut-style buttons, both of which have been faithfully recreated in this design.
The back features a cinch back, called "Bijo" in Japan. This detail is used for size adjustment, but today it can also be used to adjust the silhouette to match your outfit.
It also features a brand-original leather patch on the back of the collar.
True-to-Original Fit
The regular fit and short length remain faithful to the original style. Pair it with denim or with slightly oversized chinos for a more rustic look, or match it with slacks for a smarter appearance.
Experience the authentic craftsmanship that has transcended time.

Staff comment
●Staff (165cm/52kg) Body type: Slim Wearing: Size M Worn over a long-sleeve tee, the shoulders fall slightly, and the body has a comfortable amount of room. The sleeve length reaches just past the back of the hand, and the length is slightly above the hips. You can layer with a lightweight sweatshirt underneath without issue. |
●Staff (171cm/61kg) Body type: Average Wearing: Size M Worn over a long-sleeve tee, size M fits perfectly. With broader shoulders, it falls nicely, and the body has just the right amount of room. The sleeve length slightly covers the back of the hand, and the length reaches around the waist. If you prefer a looser fit, size L might be better. |
●Staff (177cm/67kg) Body type: Average Wearing: Size L Worn over a long-sleeve tee, the fit was the same as the model in the photo. Even with the buttons fastened, there was no tightness. The 12oz one-wash denim is slightly lighter than typical denim jackets, making the fabric soft and comfortable from the start. |
●Staff (181cm/80kg) Body type: Muscular Wearing: Size XL Worn over a long-sleeve tee, the fit was just right overall. The shoulders fall nicely, and the body has just enough room. The darts at the front prevent any tightness. The sleeve length doesn’t quite cover the back of the hand, and the length reaches the waist. |
