A Japanese outdoor brand founded in 1982. Focusing on harmony and coexistence with nature, FOXFIRE offers a range of clothing and gear for fly fishing, nature photography, and trekking.
Light Yet Reliable Fabric
FOXFIRE’s insect-repellent series, developed in collaboration with Earth Pharmaceutical and Teijin Frontier, uses the material "Scoron" for this hoodie.
The fabric has been treated with a special coating to repel insects. When an insect lands on the surface, it detects the "Scoron" with its antennae and legs, causing it to flee. This technology is now used in many FOXFIRE products.
The new "Dot-On" processing technique prints the insect-repelling component on the fabric’s surface in dot patterns, maintaining the softness and breathability of the material. The fabric also has high elasticity, providing freedom of movement even with a tight silhouette.
Keeping You Dry and Protected from the Sun
Scoron also offers UV protection with a UV blocking rate of over 90%, meaning only 10% of UV rays reach your skin.
The fabric is made with "TRANSWEAT," a moisture-wicking and quick-drying material. It absorbs sweat and water vapor from the body and quickly evaporates it to keep you cool and dry.
The neck area features mesh fabric to improve breathability, especially in the area that tends to accumulate sweat.
Maximizing Insect-Repellent and UV Protection Features
This full-zip hoodie is designed to handle various outdoor environments. When the hood is fully zipped, it covers your face like a balaclava, protecting you from insects and sunlight.
The shoulder and elbow areas are reinforced with double fabric to increase durability against movement.
The left chest features a zip pocket that’s just the right size for your phone or earphones.
There are zip pockets on both sides at the waist, large enough to comfortably fit your hands. The inside of these pockets is made of mesh, adding a ventilation effect.
The cuffs feature thumb holes, providing full protection against insects and sun exposure on the back of your hands.
The back of the hoodie is slightly longer, fitting just right to cover your hips, preventing it from shifting during active use.
The silhouette offers just the right amount of room around the waist and is tapered toward the hem. The subdued color makes it a great option for daily use, while maintaining a refined, non-bulky appearance.
