While retaining signature details such as flap pockets and front pleats, it stands out for its thoughtful construction—creating a natural twist by following the fabric’s inherent right-hand twill, rather than relying on artificial skewing.
The name “El Dorado” is inspired by El Dorado County, a key setting of the California Gold Rush, evoking the heritage and romance of early denim worn by miners.

A new collection from EDWIN, one of Japan’s leading heritage denim brands, crafting garments with dedication since 1961. The name “SKEWED” refers to “twist,” reflecting the inherent characteristics of denim fabric. Blending denim’s history with innovation, the brand creates new expressions rooted in tradition.
Deep, Rich Indigo with Layered Depth
The fabric uses selvedge denim also used in EDWIN’s premium line. The warp yarns are first dyed with brown sulfur dye, then overdyed in indigo to create a rich, deep tone.
The weft yarns undergo the same sulfur dyeing process, resulting in a deadstock-like, slightly yellowed vintage look even when new. Singeing refines the surface for a clean finish, while stone washing adds a naturally worn-in character.

The front features two flap pockets, with pleats adding structure—staying true to the classic “507XX” design.
It also adopts a split back construction typically seen in sizes 46 and above, while incorporating the brand’s concept of “skew”—a natural twist that follows the weave of the fabric rather than being artificially distorted through processing.
