Inspired by an era when sweatshirts were originally developed to absorb perspiration and later adopted by the military and military academies, this BUZZ RICKSON'S crew-neck sweatshirt faithfully recreates the construction and character of those early designs.
Soft fabric knitted on a traditional loopwheel machine, a seamless tubular body, four-needle flat-seam construction, and the distinctive stitched-on V insert at the neckline. At first glance, it appears basic, but a closer look reveals a design packed with old-school details.

Slow knitting is what creates this softness
The fabric is cotton knitted on a vintage tubular loopwheel machine. By knitting slowly with the same naturally uneven tension used in the past, the fabric develops a distinctive softness and flexibility.

The “V” at the neck is more than decoration
