ORCIVAL
Founded in 1939, ORCIVAL was named by founder Charles Bert after a small village of the same name in France’s Auvergne region. A heritage marinewear brand, ORCIVAL supplied striped T-shirts as uniforms for the French Navy during the 1950s and 1960s. The brand entered the general market in the 1970s and has remained a beloved name in French marine style ever since.







A refined Rachel knit that grows better with wear
The fabric is made from 100% cotton using the traditional Rachel knitting technique. Its complex construction uses considerably more yarn than conventional jersey fabrics, creating a distinctive texture and structure.

Today, it is still produced on rare machines, of which only a handful remain in France, preserving the original manufacturing method. Highly breathable and suitable for year-round wear, the fabric develops more character and gradually conforms to the body with continued wear, creating a well-worn texture reminiscent of denim.



Its dry, slightly textured feel and substantial weight give it a solid presence without feeling heavy, making it comfortable to wear on its own. The French marine stripe pattern features carefully considered widths and spacing, creating a refined look with an effortless sense of ease.
