Founded in 1936 in Leicester, England, Gymphlex began as a manufacturer of training shorts for the British military. By the mid-1900s, the brand expanded into school gym uniforms, becoming widely recognized across the UK. Its products have been worn by the British national rugby team, the polo club once associated with Prince Charles, and prestigious prep schools such as ETON and HARROW—making it one of the most familiar athletic brands in Britain.

The material is Gymphlex’s original lightweight boa: 75% polyester and 25% acrylic. The lofty structure traps air for warmth while maintaining a surprisingly light feel.



The lining uses sweatshirt fabric and brushed material for a soft, comfortable touch. Excellent breathability prevents overheating—one of the key reasons this jacket is beloved as an everyday outer layer.
