Recreating the original weight—finished with a perfected vintage character
This 13oz denim faithfully reproduces the weight of the original era. The fabric uses rare Zimbabwe cotton, classified as an extra-long staple fiber.

Rope-dyed for a deep indigo tone, and woven with fine yet durable slub yarns, it develops rich fading and pronounced puckering over time.





The defining feature of this model is its meticulously crafted used and damaged finish—far beyond a simple wash.

From the whiskering of a well-worn Type II to seam fades, abrasions, color loss, and fine distressing, every detail is meticulously recreated.







Faithfully reproducing 1954 details
The design recreates the classic 2nd type with signature elements:
・Two front chest pockets
・Action pleats for enhanced mobility at the front placket
・Side adjusters to refine the fit at the waist
・A detail reminiscent of the iconic “cut red tab”







An uncompromising approach to fixed proportions
In vintage originals, body and sleeve lengths were fixed, with sizing adjusted only through the width.

RRV faithfully follows this construction, without extending the length for modern preferences.
Compact and rugged—this is the authentic balance of the Type II.

After cycles of changing trends, choosing not to modernize may, in itself, feel the most modern.
