RIG FOOTWEAR is a recovery sandal brand that was established in 2019 in Japan after four years of development. Designed based on the foot characteristics of both Western and Japanese people, the sandals are created to provide the utmost comfort for Japanese wearers. These sandals are perfect for relaxing after standing for long periods or exercising, and they also help reduce the strain on the feet and lower back, making them suitable for people with back pain or hernias. 
Vegan Leather for Eco-Friendliness and Functionality
The upper is made of Clarino synthetic leather, which has the elasticity of nylon while gently holding the foot in place.
Despite being eco-friendly vegan leather, it is durable and long-lasting. Additionally, it is water-repellent, providing excellent durability for outdoor use. 
Foot Supportive Features
The sandals feature a Huarachi-style upper and open mesh straps, which maintain their shape to ensure smooth entry.
Furthermore, the sandals have an adjustable instep strap, allowing for a customizable fit. The heel strap is fixed in length, and once the foot is securely placed, the adjustable strap can be tightened for a perfect fit. 
The three-layer structure of the footbed, midsole, and outsole reduces shock by about 40%, ensuring comfort even with long-term use. The midsole features a bucket seat design, which supports stable walking and provides moderate energy return, enhancing natural propulsion. 
The outsole is robust, offering the same level of durability as a real pair of shoes. It provides ample maneuverability and is suitable for both asphalt and light trails.
