SPIEWAK / M-421 Nylon Flight Jacket
This jacket is based on the “M-421 Flight Jacket” that was issued to US Navy pilots in the 1930s.
Although it is a lightweight model to begin with, this item uses a special nylon material, making it super lightweight and allowing you to layer it without stress. The fact that it is also water-repellent is another great point.
The crisp, unique, firm texture of the fabric forms a beautiful box silhouette, making it easy to coordinate with bottoms of various thicknesses.

Founded in 1904, Spiewak is a leading American military and workwear brand. Originally providing garments for New York dockworkers, the brand supplied pants to the U.S. military during the world wars and also produces uniforms for police and firefighters, establishing itself as a stalwart in military apparel. 
Crisp Unique Fabric Feel
Made from 100% nylon, the ultra-lightweight fabric is densely woven, providing high water and wind resistance. The fabric has a peach-like touch, known as 'peach touch,' and its unique texture adds an appealing characteristic. 
1930s Detailing Revisited
Features a small shawl collar that adds a casual yet refined impression. 
The front includes symmetrical flap patch pockets. The left chest pocket is designed for pens, and the left sleeve features a six-pen pocket. 
The armholes are finely adjusted to maintain a clean silhouette when the arms are lowered. 
Deep pleats on both sides of the back provide a comfortable fit even when reaching forward.
The details are designed to facilitate easy arm movement in tight cockpit spaces, as was necessary for pilots of the era. 
Clean Box Silhouette
The fabric's stiffness creates a sharp silhouette that doesn't sag. Set to a short length, it suits a wide range of bottoms from slim to wide pants.
The high wind resistance makes it an ideal piece for the windy transitional seasons.
