Item Number:008929-0-01
The popular antique coin, commonly known as the Buffalo Nickel, was designed by American engraver James Artz Fraser from an old American 5-cent coin as a pendant top. The pendant top is made from a real coin and has a charming antique look. This item is perfect for a casual accent on your chest, and goes well with anything from a leather strap to a silver chain. The batuccan for the cord and chain is made of [silver925]. On the front side is a portrait of Two Moons, chief of the Cheyenne tribe, an indigenous tribe of the northern United States. His family was forcibly imprisoned by the U.S. government in 1868, but after negotiations with the U.S. government, they were allowed to live in their homeland. With this in mind, the word "LIBERTY" written on the design of the Native American profile seems to have a deeper meaning. Since it is made of nickel, the age of the piece is often worn off due to wear and tear, making it rare to find a piece that is clearly dated.
