The buttons on the shoulders are the same design found on authentic French Basque shirts. The buttons on the shoulders are made of shiny brown sea shells, which give the shirt a luxurious look. The buttons can actually be opened and closed, but the ribbed collar makes it possible to wear the shirt without opening it.

There are also slits on the inside of the cuffs for ease of movement and comfort when wearing this item.
