The plaid used as the lining for the iconic wax jacket is known as the “House Tartan”, also known as the “Barbour Tartan”.
What enhances the traditional plaid pattern is the smooth, slightly shiny texture of the fabric. The plaid pattern, which generally has a casual feel, is finished to create a shirt that is unique to Barbour and has a sense of dignity.
