Handmade by small ethnic groups residing in the mountainous regions of Myanmar and northern Thailand, this "high-purity silver" is made with a purity of approximately 95% to 99.9%. While conventional silver accessories are typically around 92% purity, Karen silver's purity is one of its appealing features.
