SIERRA DESIGNS / Light Panamint Jacket
SIERRA DESIGNS' hidden gem, the Panamint Jacket, is now available in a Light Panamint Jacket that can be worn more easily.
Unlike the Panamint Jacket, the Light Panamint Jacket does not have the corduroy collar and cuffs, making it easy to wear during the changing seasons.
The jacket is made of 60/40 (Rokuyon cloth), which is synonymous with the brand, and has excellent water repellency and moisture permeability. We hope you will enjoy this jacket, which allows you to enjoy a lighter 60/40 in early fall and early spring as well.

SIERRA DESIGNS
Founded in California in 1965, SIERRA DESIGNS creates products for those who enjoy style and functionality in equal measure—bringing outdoor heritage into everyday fashion through practical design and timeless sensibility.

Over 50 years of trusted performance
The jacket uses the iconic “60/40 cloth,” developed by SIERRA DESIGNS in 1968. Made from 60% cotton in the weft and 40% nylon in the warp, the fabric swells slightly when wet, tightening the weave to resist water while maintaining breathability.
This original performance fabric is celebrated for its natural feel and the rich patina it develops with wear, making it a true classic in outdoor apparel.
The front features a snap-button and zipper with a wind-shielding placket. The dual-zip design also allows for flexible styling and ventilation.
The cuffs are fitted with Velcro tabs for length and fit adjustment.
A drawcord at the front hem offers wind protection and makes it easy to fine-tune the silhouette.
Six-pocket storage for everyday utility
The right chest has a gusseted snap pocket, while the left chest features a zip pocket—both generously sized to hold essentials such as a smartphone.
At the waist, flap pockets with snap closures are paired with slant pockets for easy hand access—allowing hands-free wear with just the necessities.
The relaxed boxy silhouette provides comfortable ease, while the wider armholes accommodate layering over sweatshirts and long sleeves.
It’s an effortless layer to throw on for seasonal transitions or cooler evenings—an understated classic with enduring appeal.

Staff comment
● Staff (165cm / 52kg) Build: Slim Wearing: Size S I wore it over a lightweight sweatshirt, and the shoulders dropped perfectly with plenty of room around the chest. The fit allows for layering a bit more underneath. The length covers just above the thighs. It’s a light and easy piece, making it the perfect transitional outerwear for changing seasons.
● Staff (171cm / 61kg) Build: Average Wearing: Size M The shoulders drop, and there’s ample room through the body. It fits well even over a standard-weight sweatshirt or knit without feeling bulky. The length covers just over the hips.
● Staff (177cm / 67kg) Build: Average Wearing: Size L I wore the same size as the model in the photos. Even with a slightly thicker knit underneath, there’s enough room to layer comfortably. The lightweight feel makes layering stress-free.
● Staff (181cm / 80kg) Build: Solid Wearing: Size XL The shoulders drop, and there is plenty of room through the body. The length is just shy of fully covering the hips. It’s great to wear the 60/40 fabric with ease and comfort.
