BARNSTORMER's roots date back to 1977. At the height of the Ivy style boom, creating American traditional clothing in Japan using factories capable of the same sewing techniques as those in the United States, along with fabrics that captured the same look and feel, was considered groundbreaking. BARNSTORMER's guiding theme is to recreate not only the clothing of America from that era, but the lifestyle that surrounded it.
Corduroy with a Vintage-Inspired Finish
The fabric is a slightly wide-wale corduroy reminiscent of Levi's 519. Known as "Vintage Corduroy" for its beautifully faded appearance, it is one of BARNSTORMER's most popular trouser fabrics for autumn and winter.
The cotton-polyester blend offers softness with just the right amount of structure, providing both ease of wear and a beautifully defined silhouette. Neither too thin nor too thick, the fabric can be enjoyed across a long season.
Authentic Dress-Trouser Construction
The waistband features an extended tab closure, a detail commonly found on tailored slacks. It creates a cleaner appearance around the waist while improving fit and stability when worn. The inside of the waistband is finished with woven fabric for a comfortable feel against the skin.
A V-shaped slit is placed at the center back of the waistband. Though small, this detail helps reduce stress on the fabric, contributing to long-lasting durability.
The pockets retain the classic details of fatigue pants. Deep patch pockets are placed at the front, while the back features an asymmetrical arrangement with a flap pocket on one side and a patch pocket on the other.
The side seams are finished with open seams, creating natural three-dimensional structure throughout the trousers and producing a clean, elegant line. The craftsmanship is evident in every detail.
A Beautiful Slim Silhouette Created by the Tapered Cut
The slim silhouette gently tapers toward the hem. It pairs naturally with shirts and jackets, while also creating a refined look when styled with T-shirts and sneakers.

●Staff (165cm/52kg) Body Type: Slim Size Worn: XS/S The XS fits perfectly at the waist without a belt. With the hem rolled once (approx. 5cm), the length reaches the floor when barefoot. There was no tightness through the thighs even when crossing my legs. If you prefer a roomier fit, the S offers plenty of space at the waist. However, tightening it firmly with a belt can cause some fabric to gather at the front. In that case, spreading the fabric gently toward the sides after fastening the belt creates a cleaner fit. |
