BARACUTA
Founded in 1937 in Manchester, England, by the Miller brothers, BARACUTA began with the creation of innovative rainwear distinguished by exceptional water repellency and wind resistance. Since the birth of the G9 as outerwear for golf, it has remained the prototype of what we now call the blouson—an enduring classic loved worldwide.
The fabric is a lightweight poplin crafted from a blend of cotton and nylon. Its subtle surface texture adds quiet character, while the crisp touch unique to poplin ensures a light, comfortable feel.
Machine washable and easy to care for, it is a practical material you can wear daily without hesitation.
Unchanged, Iconic Details
The “dog ear” collar—named for its resemblance to a dog’s drooping ears—is a signature detail inherited from the G9. Worn up, it creates an effortless sophistication; buttoned closed, it enhances wind protection.
Originally designed as golfwear, it features raglan sleeves for ease of movement. The generous armholes allow comfortable layering, even over wider T-shirts.
Side pockets are secured with buttoned flaps to help prevent items from falling out. An additional buttoned patch pocket is placed inside at the left chest.
The cuffs are finished with gussets, allowing you to button them for a classic look or leave them open for a more relaxed style—adjustable to suit your mood.
The back features the distinctive umbrella yoke, designed to let rain run off smoothly—an element that balances function with refined design.
Drawcords at both sides of the hem allow for subtle silhouette adjustments, lending a more sporty impression when cinched.
