Introducing the El Dorado Jacket from SKEWED, inspired by the S506XX, a denim jacket commonly known as a WWII model.
During wartime, material restrictions led to simplified details such as buttons and stitching. The distinctive details born out of these limitations reflect the circumstances of the era.
Preserving its historical roots and vintage character, the jacket has been reworked with proportions that fit naturally into modern wardrobes. It is made from Kaihara right-hand twill selvedge denim, which gradually fades with wear and develops a character unique to its owner.
A jacket that celebrates the history of the WWII model while giving you the opportunity to make it your own over time.

SKEWED
A new collection from EDWIN, one of Japan's leading heritage denim brands, committed to quality craftsmanship since 1961. The name SKEWED means "twisted," reflecting a natural characteristic of denim fabric. The brand blends denim heritage with innovation to create a new generation of denim products.
Deep, Rich Indigo
The fabric is selvedge denim also used in EDWIN's premium line. The warp yarns are first dyed with a brown-toned sulfur dye, then overdyed with indigo to create a deep, layered color.
The weft yarns are treated with the same sulfur dyeing technique to recreate the yellowed, vintage character of deadstock denim in a brand-new garment. Singeing removes surface fuzz for a cleaner finish, while a stone wash creates the worn-in highlights of denim that has been worn for years.
Vintage in appearance, modern in comfort. The best of both worlds.
Simplified Details Inspired by a WWII-Era Model
The front is kept simple and understated, evoking the 506XX jackets made during wartime, when materials were scarce. With ornamentation kept to a minimum, the character of the denim itself and the stitching stand out even more clearly.
A single patch pocket is placed on one side of the chest, creating the simple front associated with a 1st Type jacket while retaining the practical character of classic workwear.
Button adjusters at the hem and cuffs allow you to fine-tune the fit to your preference, creating a cleaner, more streamlined silhouette.
The design takes inspiration from the split-back seam, a feature commonly found on vintage jackets in size 46 and above, while incorporating SKEWED's signature concept of "skew," or twist. Rather than creating an intentional distortion through processing, the design embraces the natural twist that follows the direction of the denim weave.
