RIG FOOTWEAR
Founded in 2019 in Japan as a recovery sandal brand after studying the foot characteristics of both Western and Japanese wearers, with around four years of development. The brand creates sandals designed to deliver optimal comfort for Japanese feet. Its products are suitable not only for relaxing after long hours of standing or exercise, but also for everyday wear, as they help reduce strain on the legs and lower back compared with traditional hard sandals, making them a comfortable option for those with lower back issues.
AATH Fabric Supports Recovery from the Instep as Well
The inside of the upper uses “AATH,” a next-generation recovery fiber. This advanced functional material absorbs and radiates far-infrared rays, supporting recovery not only from the sole but also from the instep.
A hybrid material that utilizes body heat and far-infrared energy, it creates the feeling that simply wearing them becomes part of your recovery time. Even in the unseen details, rig’s thoughtful design philosophy is fully reflected.
FREELOCK DIAL SYSTEM for Easy Fit Adjustment
The upper is made of mesh material with reinforced overlays, giving it a sneaker-like look despite the backless design.
Equipped with the FREELOCK DIAL SYSTEM for a precise fit, allowing fine adjustment to your foot shape.
Turn the dial clockwise to tighten the wire, and pull to release the lock and loosen the fit, enabling quick on-and-off wear.
Note: To retighten, press the dial in before turning.
A Perfect Balance of Cushioning, Responsiveness, and Lightness
The three-layer structure of the footbed, midsole, and outsole reduces impact on the legs and lower back by approximately 40%, keeping you comfortable even during long hours of wear. The midsole features a bucket-seat shape that supports stable walking, while moderate energy return creates a smooth forward motion.
It also includes an insole made with AATH fabric, gently wrapping and supporting the foot for enhanced comfort.
