Driven by the desire to create simple, purpose-built gear and apparel, TRAIL BUM is an outdoor brand developed under the direction of Highland Design, led by Tomoyoshi Tsuchiya, a pioneer of ultralight hiking.

SPECTRA: Exceptional Abrasion and Impact Resistance
The fabric is made from 200-denier ripstop nylon incorporating SPECTRA, an ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene fiber. Lightweight yet highly tear-resistant, it delivers reliable durability in demanding environments such as rocky terrain and other rugged outdoor conditions.



What Is SPECTRA Fiber?
Developed by Honeywell in the United States, SPECTRA is regarded as one of the world’s strongest and lightest fibers. It is used in advanced protective applications, including military bulletproof vests and helmets, armored vehicle, and cut-resistant gloves.





Designed to Adapt to Your Needs
With a 25-liter capacity, the pack is suited to day hikes, trekking, and fast hiking. The opening combines a simple drawstring closure with a single compression strap, allowing it to be adjusted according to the amount and volume of your belongings.



The front and side pockets feature breathable mesh construction, allowing you to see the contents at a glance. Drawcord closures help keep items secure, while the excellent ventilation makes them ideal not only for bottles and trail snacks, but also for quickly storing a shell jacket dampened by rain or perspiration.



The shoulder straps contain padding that balances gentle softness with lasting durability. Their thickness has been carefully calculated in relation to the pack’s capacity and intended load, creating a precisely balanced design without excess.

The chest strap can be attached at your preferred height, improving stability and creating a secure fit that remains steady during active movement. The gray slider buckle also features an integrated whistle, providing added peace of mind in emergency situations.



Loops are included for attaching an optional waist belt. This adaptable design allows the pack to be customized to suit different loads and your hiking style for the day.



The back pad is removable and can be used on its own as a resting mat. When camping, it can be swapped out for a sleeping pad inserted into the back panel, allowing for a minimalist setup that eliminates unnecessary weight.



The shorter back length makes the pack comfortable to carry even for users with shorter torsos. By keeping the load positioned higher on the back, it helps reduce strain on the body while maintaining a compact appearance that belies its practical capacity.
