Founded in 1993, BUZZ RICKSONS is a brand that pursues the history and pride of flight jackets. Its reproduction work is based on the military specifications of the time, with meticulous attention paid to every detail, from yarn spinning and weaving to fabric materials, military parts, and the overall form. Each piece is made with craftsmanship to recreate the appeal of vintage flight jackets.

Faithfully Recreating the Original Cold-Weather Design
The fabric is made from what is commonly known as back satin, using cotton sateen with the reverse side facing outward—just like the U.S. Army field trousers from 1951.

This material combines warmth and durability, delivering reliable performance designed for wear in cold climates.



The texture of the surface and the smoothness of the reverse side convey the distinctive atmosphere of military clothing from the era, while also ensuring modern ease of wear. The historical value found in the details creates a style with a character all its own.





Designed with Practicality in Mind
The waist features a zip fly closure, finished with a TALON zipper for an authentic reproduction down to the smallest details.



In addition to belt loops and adjusters, the design faithfully recreates the original-era detail of suspender buttons.

The interior cord loops are designed to hold the metal hooks at the ends of suspenders, faithfully reproducing the functional details of the original construction.



The cargo pockets are equipped with tourniquet cords. As the cords hang down, they add movement and become an accent in styling.

The knee area uses a three-dimensional structure that allows easy movement without restriction.



The hems are equipped with drawcords, allowing you to change the silhouette and adjust the fit to help block wind from entering.
