MOMOTARO JEANS
Founded in 2006 in Kojima, Kurashiki, Okayama—one of Japan’s most renowned denim-producing regions. MOMOTARO JEANS is known for its deep, rich indigo known as “TOKUNO BLUE” and the supple comfort of premium Zimbabwe cotton. From fabrics woven on traditional shuttle looms to the brand’s signature “pink selvedge,” Japanese craftsmanship can be found in every detail. Following a rebranding in 2024, the brand continues to pursue a more refined style while preserving its traditions, attracting denim enthusiasts around the world.

Matching pants made from the same fabric are also available, making it easy to create a coordinated set. Worn together, the two pieces retain the casual character of denim while creating a cohesive, put-together look.

The name “TOKUNO” is well earned
The fabric uses “TOKUNO BLUE,” dyed exclusively with indigo for a deep, rich color. By leaving the core of the yarn undyed rather than dyeing it all the way through, the denim develops a striking contrast between its deep original color and the faded areas as it is worn.

At 15.7oz, the fabric is slightly heavier than the 12–14oz weight commonly used for denim, giving it a substantial feel and distinctly denim-like character. At the same time, long-staple Zimbabwe cotton provides a natural softness that gradually conforms to the body with wear.



The fabric is slowly woven on vintage TOYODA shuttle looms, creating a uniquely uneven and textured surface. This irregular character adds greater depth to the fading that develops over time.

As the denim has been one-washed, you can start wearing it without worrying about the significant shrinkage that can occur with the first wash of raw denim.





The jacket features symmetrical flap pockets on both sides of the chest. These distinctive double pockets enhance the classic character of a 2nd Type jacket.

Custom branded buttons are paired with double front pleats and box stitching. These thoughtfully incorporated classic details give the otherwise simple design a distinctive vintage-inspired presence.



Two stripes, a signature motif of MOMOTARO JEANS, are placed on the left sleeve. They add just the right amount of accent to the understated design, creating a detail that is instantly recognizable as MOMOTARO JEANS.



Action pleats at the back open as the arms move forward, allowing greater freedom around the shoulders and enhancing overall comfort.





Button adjusters are placed on both sides of the hem. Changing the fastening position allows you to adjust the silhouette around the waist and fine-tune the balance to suit your styling.





A versatile basic fit with just the right amount of room
The basic silhouette offers moderate room through the body while maintaining a balanced length. Neither overly relaxed nor too slim, it preserves the clean, composed look of a classic denim jacket.

The sizing works naturally over a T-shirt or shirt and leaves enough room to layer a sweatshirt underneath. Timeless and easy to style, it is a versatile piece that fits effortlessly into a wide range of wardrobes.
