COTTON RESEARCH CLUB
Inspired by the youth culture of the 1950s to the 1990s, Cotton Research Club creates T-shirts designed to transcend time—universally wearable across age, trend, and generation. By completing every process in Japan—from spinning to knitting to sewing— they continue to push the boundaries of cotton as a material.
INDIGO CLASSIC
INDIGO CLASSIC is a rare workshop that grows its own indigo, brews its own dye, and handles the entire dyeing process by hand. Their mission: to carry the life of indigo into the future, with quiet dedication and enduring craftsmanship.
Dry and Airy Comfort
Crafted from a 6.6oz tubular jersey made in Wakayama, Japan from premium open-end USA cotton, this T-shirt offers a dry, airy feel. It gains character with every wash—aging gracefully like a vintage tee from the 90s. Durability is essential for enjoying the aging process of indigo dyeing over the years, and the CRC body meets that expectation with resilience.
Variety of Indigo Patterns
We offer four variations to choose from: Indigo, Deep-Indigo, Uneven, and Gradation options. Each piece is hand-dyed individually by INDIGO CLASSIC’s craftsmen upon receiving an order. Anticipate receiving a one-of-a-kind Indigo T-shirt tailored specifically for you. Please note that due to the hand-dyeing process, slight variations in the pattern may occur, particularly with tie-dye and gradient designs. We appreciate your understanding and hope you enjoy the unique, one-of-a-kind result.
Designed for Lasting Comfort and Durability
This T-shirt features a classic crew neck with a soft rib that ensures easy on-and-off.
This T-shirt features a classic crew neck with a soft rib for easy on-and-off wear. A hidden detail is the "taco binder" running from the shoulders to the back of the neck, enhancing strength and reducing seam visibility around the shoulders and neck—an ideal piece for long-term wear.
The sleeves and hem are finished with a single-stitch design, sewn with a single thread, offering a clean, understated look reminiscent of mid-90s U.S.-made T-shirts. This finish requires a special sewing machine and skilled craftsmanship, deliberately chosen for its ability to replicate vintage textures from that era.
The sleeve length provides comfortable upper arm coverage, giving a refined impression with a smart and sleek look.
The seamless tubular knit body ensures a smooth, stress-free fit without uncomfortable seams, guaranteeing comfort.

Men’s Fitting Comments
● Staff (165cm / 52kg) Body type: Slim Wearing size: M While I could wear size L without it feeling too baggy, size M felt like the best fit. The length covered about two-thirds of my hips, and the sleeves reached around the elbows. This is the kind of "well-made T-shirt" you'd want to keep stocked in your wardrobe. |
● Staff (171cm / 61kg) Body type: Average Wearing size: M / L Size M covered about half of the hips, while size L offered a slightly longer length covering about two-thirds. Size L also had broader shoulders, making the sleeves fall around the elbows with a more relaxed feel. Both sizes felt comfortable, so you can choose based on your preferred silhouette. |
● Staff (177cm / 67kg) Body type: Average Wearing size: L The length covered about half of the hips, and the sleeves hit just above the elbows. It gave a similar look to the model in the photos. Not too big, not too small?just the right size with a great fit. |
● Staff (181cm / 80kg) Body type: Broad / Muscular Wearing size: XL The shoulders were slightly dropped, and the sleeves ended just above the elbows. The length almost fully covered the hips, but the basic silhouette kept it from looking bulky. If you like a looser fit, size XXL is also a great option. |
Women’s Fitting Comments
● Staff (152cm / 43kg) Body type: Average Wearing size: S The length fully covered the hips and extended to the upper thighs. Sleeves fell just around the elbows. The relaxed fit offered nice coverage over the upper arms. |
● Staff (158cm / 49kg) Body type: Average Wearing size: S The hem just covered the hips, and the sleeves ended above the elbows. I love the firm texture of the fabric?something you don’t often find in women’s tees. Works great as an inner layer under camisole dresses or overalls. |
● Staff (164cm / 54kg) Body type: Slim Wearing size: S The length covered about two-thirds of the hips, and the sleeves hit just above the elbows. The straight silhouette keeps it from looking too oversized. If you’re going for a more relaxed look, size M is also recommended. |
